Reception for Artist, Langford Barksdale, Tuesday, May 12, 2015, 5-7 p.m.

Langford is a native of Nashville who began painting as a child. She is a graduate from Harpeth Hall where she studied under Rosie Paschall and was honored with the Cindy Crist Art Purchase Award as well as two National Scholastic Achievement Awards. Her work has been exhibited at the Nashville International Airport, Cheekwood, Frist Learning Center, Anderson Ranch Art Center, Bonnie Young of Aspen and a list of other venues.
 

 

Langford completed her BFA in painting at the University of Georgia and moved to Switzerland to study theology and art. Commissioned by The Nashville Library to
design a poster for the grand opening of the downtown branch in 2000 and
published in Nashville Counts, her work is in collections across the globe. Collectors include Donna Summer, Lou Pitino, MAC Presents, Harpeth Hall School, Heritage Title, The Muse of Nantucket and L'Abri of Switzerland.

She is currently painting and exhibiting her work in Colorado and has shows in the Southeast as of April 2015. Private studio viewings are available by appointment. Her work can be purchased online at LangfordArt.comand at exhibitions.
